There are currently many versions of Interbase - from free versions (Interbase 6.0, Firebird 2.0) supplied with SoftwareCheck to corporate multiserver solutions. SoftwareCheck is a scalable solutions - it can support diverse Interbase versions: 6.0, 6.5, 7.1, 7.5, 2007 SE/DE or Firebird 1.5 and 2.0, depending on the particular requirements. We believe that for the purposes of an average number of audited workstations (up to about 800), free Firebird 2.0 version supplied with SoftwareCheck is fully efficient and satisfactory. It operates on desktop and server systems, with one or more processors, using however the power of only one CPU. More advanced versions of Interbase can use all the advantages of multiprocessor systems.
