Scanner -a small software application -is loaded from the server to the internal memory of a workstation, e.g. during logging in, can be initiated at any convenient moment and does not remain on the workstation after the scanning process is completed and the reports are sent back to the server.
Data from the station is stored in a central auditing database. Software identification is based on an innovative identification algorithm ™ of the scanner and (at a further stage) on a base of patterns, continuously and automatically updated with new information.
