How it works
We are using Microsoft's PsTools -
very popular and effective technology - to "carry out" our
scanners
onto workstations and receive the audits from them.
SoftwareCheck RemAudit
is the separate application which is able to cooperate with our
flagship
product: SoftwareCheck Professional.
RemAudit uses the SoftwareCheck's scanner to scan workstations the same
way as the SoftwareCheck Professional does.
RemAudit expands SoftwareCheck to work online.
We
used to say that RemAudit is SoftwareCheck's Null Installation Rapit Kit
,
because all you have to do is to edit scanner's config ,
automatically scan your network for workstations and start the
distributing the RemClient onto workstations. RemConsole and
RemClients will do the rest of the work automatically: install themself
on workstations, start the scanner, manage the scanning process on each
PC and deliver the
scans into SoftwareCheck's loading directory.
Although installed on workstations and always ready to
take action, RemClient does not reside permanently in the workstations' RAM,
because it is ran only when necessary. Its start is initiated from
the outside central RemConsole. This is big power of used PsTools technology.
